Surprise build of the 2024 waves for me so far has been the 76922 BMW M4. Has some funky cool techniques to build the nose and quite clean shaping overall. I took the BMW M4 in a CS/GTS-ish street car direction with a revised build throughout; cleaned up splitter, camber front wheel mounting, new interior, and a ton of work on the rear half of the model.
Revised the mid-roof mounting to eliminate the technic bricks and pins in the b-pillar area.
Redesigned rear body build to offset those cheese slopes at the aft end of the C pillars. All tucked-in smoothness now.
Street rear bumper and diffuser with cannon-sized exhausts
Current possible colorways: Red, Green, Black, White, Bright Light Orange (primarily defined by the 2x2 compound slopes and those angle-tipped 2x1 tiles). Yellow and Dark Gray might be a possibility soon... Slightly different build in the nose plates and clips between Red and Green.
Purchase is for digital instructions and parts list files only. Does not include physical bricks.
Model requires 348 parts (not included) which should cost appx $50~60.
Updates
20251221: nose-intake assembly in previous steps 68/69, 72/73 updated to use a 78256 2x1 plate with clip in green. Will also need 2x 35480 rounded plates in dark gray and 2x 3070 1x1 tiles black to complete the update. See steps 67/68 and 71/72 in the new instructions PDF.
